Activists said that five civilians were killed and more than 20 wounded in a Russian airstrike on a public market in Al-Firdous neighborhood in Aleppo on Sunday. Seven more were killed in the village of Qasr al-Bureij in rural Aleppo when their house was hit by a Russian airstrike yesterday.
An entire family of 12 members was also killed when Russian warplanes struck their house in the village of Falioun in rural Idlib on Sunday.
The Syrian Coalition earlier said that “this crime and other crimes by the Assad regime and its allies represent a clear violation of UN Security Council resolution 2254 which calls for immediate cessation of all attacks against civilians. The silence of the international community over the crimes of the Assad regime and its allies against Syrian civilians as well as its complete disregard for their blood is a shameful stain on humanity.”
“The failure to explicitly and clearly condemn the Russian aggression and the inaction towards Russia’s massacres against the Syrian people constitute outright support for these crimes. This silence also represents complicity in undermining efforts to find a political solution in Syria,” the Syrian Coalition added. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Shahba Press)
