50 Photographers Organize Photo Exhibit in Idlib

Nearly fifty photographers in Idlib and its countryside expressed their love for life and adherence to hope despite the shelling and destruction caused by the regime forces and its allies as they showcased their photos at a photo exhibition on Wednesday under the title “a photo of my country.”

The exhibition, which was organized by Shafaq Foundation, brought together professional photography enthusiasts to highlight the bright side and demonstrate the beauty of their city which has been covered by the dust of war the Assad regime has waged on the Syrian people.

Mohammed Al-Hammadi, one of the organizers of the exhibit, told Baladi News: “The exhibition brought together about 50 photography professionals from Idlib province and its countryside. Their photos focused on the landscape, monuments and historical heritage in the liberated areas.”

Al-Hammadi added that the goal of the exhibit is to show the positive side in the liberated areas through beautiful pictures, adding that prizes will be given to the best three photos.

Makani Center, a NGO that supports women, earlier organized a handicraft exhibition for widowed women in Idlib to empower them in society. Several organizations opened centers for women's empowerment in some of the liberated areas.

In March of this year, the Association of Educated Women organized a handicraft exhibition for 60 women trainees in Idlib. The women were trained in a variety of artwork including glass painting, mosaic engraving, embroidery and recycling. (Source: Syrian National Coalition’s Media Department)
