The polio control task force in Syria began the fifth round of the mobile vaccination campaign to end polio in the liberated areas of the provinces of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, Hasakah, Aleppo, Idlib, Hama and Latakia. Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) budgeted $50,000 USD as relief aid to the residents of the town of Maliha in East Ghouta. ACU said that the funding was used to prepare meals for 1,500 families. The Ministry of Health in the Syrian interim government provided a batch of medicines to treat injuries as a result of chemical weapons attacks for the Health Directorate in Idlib province. This step comes within the plan of the Ministry of Health to ensure prevention of the dangers of any possible attacks by chemical weapons.
