On the occasion of the Human Rights Day, Syrian activists on Tuesday called on international organizations and human rights committees to pay attention to the suffering of the Syrian people and exert pressure on the major actors to rein in the Assad regime and Russia’s ongoing crimes.
The Syrian Civil Defense called on organizations concerned with human rights to highlight what is going on in Syria, especially the killing and deliberate destruction by the Assad regime and Russian forces.
The Civil Defense said that the Assad regime and Russian forces are killing civilians in Syria and are trying to hide those crimes by blurring the facts. It called on the free world and human rights activists to reveal the truth of the crimes and massacres taking place against unarmed civilians.
On the eve of Human Rights Day, which is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December every year, the Assad regime forces shelled the Al-Ghassaniyeh School in Idlib province with rockets while students where inside. The civil defense teams rushed to evacuate the students to a safe place.
The Syrian National Coalition on Sunday condemned the horrific massacres being committed by the criminal regime and its Russian sponsor amid dubious international silence. It held the international community directly responsible for the massacres being committed by the regime and its allies as a silent partner in everything that is taking place in Syria.
