Rebel battalions in rural Deir Ezzor said that “after ISIS broke the truce signed with rebel factions in the town of Shitat, violent clashes broke out between the two sides that resulted in expelling ISIS militants from the town. “We also combed the towns of Abu Hrdob, Al Jirthi, Swaidan, Darnij and Ashara. ISIS militants retreated to their stronghold in Al Omar oil field, thus losing control of all villages and towns in eastern rural Deir Ezzor. However, ISIS still controls the border town of Abu Kamal, but we promise we will liberate it very soon. There are reports of another popular uprising in the towns of Al Zur, Briha, Bakara, Aqidat and Khasham. With the liberation of these towns ISIS will lose all its strongholds in rural Deir Ezzor. Battles are raging now between tribal rebels ISIS militants in rural Shaitat, but rebels said they are suffering from a severe shortage of ammunition and equipment.
