The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) pointed out that the Russian jets committed a massacre in the town of Jisr al-Shughour in rural Idlib claiming the lives of five children in September. It noted that the fewer massacres have been committed in September than any other month since the beginning of 2018.
In a report published on Friday, the Network said that it recorded only two massacres in Syrian in September due to the decrease in the intensity of military operations in most of the Syrian territory.
According to the report, the Russian air force committed the first massacre near Jisr al-Shughour in Idlib on September 4, while unidentified groups committed the second massacre in the town of Maharda in rural Hama on September 7 claiming the lives of 11 civilians.
The figure has brought to 206 the number of massacres that the monitoring group has recorded in Syrian since the beginning of 2018.
In a separate report published on Monday, the Network said that 192 civilians were killed across Syria in September, 95 of whom were killed in attacks by the Assad regime (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
