A delegation from the Syrian Coalition visited a number of European Union countries during late March to illustrate the vision of the Syrian Coalition of democratic transition in Syria. Badr Jamous, head of the delegation, said that the delegation visited Belgium, France, and Croatia and met with senior diplomats in addition to representatives of the Belgian government and civil society organizations and the French Foreign Ministry. Jamous also said that “we discussed the democratic transition in Syria and clarified our vision of it. We also briefed the EU officials about the Coalition’s plans to expand the package of services provided to civilians in need in the liberated areas and we highlighted the success of the Syrian Coalition in re-supplying the town of Azaz in northern Syria with electricity and communications.” The delegation also met representatives of the Syrian communities abroad. Jamous also said that “we talked with them in all transparency and clarity, and we pledged to increase communication and coordination between us and them.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
