The Syrian National Coalition delegation, headed by President Ahmad Aweinan Assi Jarba, which went to attend the 68th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal on Monday evening where they discussed the latest developments on the ground and various political developments. During the meeting, Jarba stressed the need to invest in the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations – which begin today 24/09/2013 and will continue for the remainder of the week – to drum up support for the Syrian revolution, and reach an urgent solution that prevents further bloodshed of the Syrian people and helps them achieve their aspirations.
Al-Faisal confirmed his country’s continued support for the Syrian people in the face of the Assad regime, stressing the Kingdom will take interest in making the Syrian file a priority issue raised in various international forums, in an effort to illustrate the suffering of the Syrians by the repressive criminal option criminal chosen by the Assad regime.
