Vice-president Hisham Marwa said that the Syrian Coalition will not attend a meeting called for by Moscow while Russian forces are killing the Syrian people.
Marwa warns that the Assad regime, Moscow and Tehran are trying to bypass and circumvent the Geneva I Communique by claiming that any probable solution only includes forming a broad government and making constitutional amendments.
Marwa asks “how can we accept to participate in a meeting called for by a country that is bombing our people and occupies our land?” He stresses that “the only way to force the Assad regime to the negotiating table in accordance with the Geneva I Communique is through tipping the balance of power through stepping up military support for the Free Syrian Army. Marwa also said that the political initiatives currently being proposed are not serious and aimed to gain more time for Assad. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Al-Sharq al-Awsat)
