The Syrian National Coalition’s political committee held its periodic meeting with members of the committee discussing the latest developments on the ground in Idlib and the Syrian National Army’s recapture of a number of towns and villages from the Assad regime.
The Military Liaison Office gave an overview on the latest military developments as members of the committer praised the heroism and high morale being shown by fighters of the Syrian National Army in the battles against the Assad regime and its allies. They stressed that the gains they are making will have a big impact on the military balance on the ground and force Russia to return to the negotiating table.
Coordinators of the departments and committees submitted reports on their work. They also reviewed the results of the recent meetings and participations aimed at urging the international community to take a serious action to protect civilians in northwestern Syria, establish an inclusive ceasefire, and step up humanitarian and relief support for the IDP.
Vice-president of the Syrian National Coalition Abdulhakim Bashar spoke about the meeting held between the Kurdish National Council and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu as he reasserted the Turkish role in supporting Syria and the need to develop the relationship of the Council with Turkey.
