Syrian Coalition Agrees to Brahimi’s Proposal on the Agenda of Geneva II Talks

The delegation of the Syrian Coalition agreed to the proposal submitted by the special envoy Lakhdar Brahimi on the agenda of Geneva II negotiation, though Brahimi did not specify a date for the third round of the talks. The delegation of the Syrian Coalition "”stresses the need for speeding up the political transition a prelude to change in Syria,” reasserting their commitment to the political process “that serves the interests of the Syrian people in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2118 and the terms of Geneva II.” The delegation of the Syrian Coalition slams the lack of seriousness on the part of the delegation of the Assad regime their attempts to disrupt the peace conference and to circumvent the priorities of its terms to evade the formation of the transitional governing body which be one of the most important tactical steps in the fight against terrorism."
