Mohammad Khair al-Wazir, director of the organizing committee of the “Inside Syria Forum”, which concluded today, said that this conference, aimed at greater coordination between activists and politicians, is not the first and will not be the last in a series of activities supervised by the Syrian Coalition and leaders in the of civil movement in Syria. “Participants were distributed into three workshops, and we took into account the need to discuss ideas that are related to the situation on the ground in Syria. We stressed the need to engage the grassroots and the leadership of the civil movements in the decision-making process as a prerequisite for building a state of law,” Al Wazir said. In response to criticism of the delay in discussing these sensitive issues, Al Wazir said “we do not deny that there is a delay in taking this step, but better late than never, add to this that the Syrian Coalition is part of the civil political movement, so it shares the responsibility with other components of the revolution.” The workshops addressed three general topics: the international anti-ISIS coalition, and the governing relationship between the Syrian Coalition and other institutions, and how to activate the civil movement inside Syria.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
