Members of the Syrian National Coalition, Ahmad Shehadi and Najib Rahmoun meet with the Board Directors of the Local Coordinating Committees in the cultural center in the town of Ma’aret Al-Nouman in rural Idlib and discussed the necessity of activating the peaceful civil movement and reviving the principles of the Syrian Revolution.
Participants in the meeting stressed the need to unify the revolutionary movement in the liberated areas and to work on highlighting the basic demands of the Syrian people and conveying their message to the world.
Participants also discussed the dire conditions in Idlib and the ongoing crimes against civilians by the Assad regime and its backers as they stressed that these crimes “will not pass without accountability” as accountability is an essential part of the political solution in Syria.
Shehadi and Rahmoun called on members of the Coordinating Committees to strengthen communication with the Coalition and increase coordination with regard to civil and revolutionary activities. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Department)
