Coordinator of the Syrian National Coalition’s office in northern rural Aleppo, Ahmad Shehadi, on Tuesday toured Al-Kaiba IDP camp in rural Aleppo where he met with the residents of the camp and listened to their most pressing needs.
The camp is home to some 200 households, or approximately 1,100 people, the majority of whom are women, children and elderly people who were forcibly displaced from their homes in eastern rural Aleppo, Homs province, and eastern Ghouta by the Assad regime forces.
Shehadi toured the services facilities in the camp and learned about the most urgent needs of the residents inside, especially in the areas of healthcare and education as well as preparations for protection from rain and snow with the onset of winter.
Shehadi also met with the director of the camp, Abdul Qader Ismail, and discussed with him the latest efforts to maintain the camp and replace the tents with housing units. (Source: Syrian National Coalition’s Media Department)
