The Syrian community in Denmark collected relief aid for the internally displaced people and those with chronic diseases in the liberated areas in coordination with the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s Communities Office.
Coordinator of the Office Muhammad Yahya Maktabi praised the efforts of the Syrian community in Denmark in relieving the people in the liberated areas, especially in these difficult circumstances. He thanked all the Syrian communities abroad for helping alleviate the suffering of the people affected by the coronavirus crisis and the forced displacement as he urged them to provide more assistance.
The month of Ramadan witnessed an increase in the charitable activities of the Syrian community in Denmark which contributed to the projects of kitchens that distribute food for free to needy households in the coastal region, Afrin, the town of Al-Bab in northern rural Aleppo, and Idlib province. The community also raised funds to secure treatment for people with chronic diseases.
Maktabi stressed the need for solidarity among the Syrian people as he urged everyone for contributing to the various efforts to help the Syrian people in the liberated areas and the neighboring countries overcome the coronavirus crisis. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
