Vice-president of the Syrian National Coalition said that the decision by US President Donald Trump to eliminate one of the most prominent symbols of criminality in the region is an important step. He stressed the importance of carrying on with such step by punishing the criminals who are carrying out terrorist acts against civilians in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen.
Yahya urged the US administration to carry on with its resolute strategy towards Iran with the aim of restoring security and stability to all the countries that have been penetrated by the Iranian terrorist militias.
Moreover, Yahya reiterated the importance of deterring Iran, stopping it from interfering in the affairs of its neighbors, and forcing all Iranian militias from Syria.
The death of Qassem Soleimani gave hope to millions of people in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen for the withdrawal of the Iranian sectarian militias, Yahya added. He stressed that Soleimani was a war criminal who committed the gravest violations against civilians, the international law, and international humanitarian law.
In a press release issued on Friday, the Coalition said that the death of Soleimani marked the end of one of the most brutal war criminals responsible for endless crimes in Syria and the region, stressing that Soleimani played a pivotal role in the deterioration of the situation in Syria.
