Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that that the Assad regime deploys dirty methods in the conflict, including the use of chemical weapons and ballistic missiles as well as collaborating with terrorist organizations to fight against Syria’s people.
He added that the security of Turkey and the international community is under serious threat because of the situation in Syria, stressing that Turkey has been countering all terrorist organizations.
He also said that said that ISIS is damaging the perception of Islam all over the world by engaging in acts of violence that have no place in the religion.
President Khoja said yesterday that Turkey’s stepping in to fight ISIS, a move that has gained popular, regional and international support, and is an important turning point in favor of the Syrian revolution.
Khoja stresses that removing ISIS and other terrorist groups will improve the situation in favor of the revolutionary and national forces which operate under the umbrella of the Syrian Coalition. The FSA High Military Command and local councils represent these forces. Turkey’s move will ensure restoring the situation in the north to what it looked like before ISIS took control of the liberated areas in the north.
The Syrian Coalition has repeatedly called on the international anti-ISIS coalition to impose safe areas in Syria and to supply the FSA with the necessary means to protect civilians and rein Assad’s air force as well as to drive ISIS out of the liberated areas.
The Syrian Coalition stresses the importance of establishing a safe zone to protect civilians from the daily atrocities committed by terrorist organizations, most notably the Assad regime, warning that any further delay in taking this step would cost Syrian people more lives.
