Badr Jamous

Dr. Bader Jamous was born in Tal Mineen in the countryside of Damascus in 1968. He graduated from Damascus University with a degree in Medicine. He has an MA in international relations.

Dr. Bader Jamous was Syria’s Honorary Consul in the Republic of Moldova for over 10 years. He also was director of foreign relations in International University of Moldova and later on the university’s vice president.

Mr. Jamous is head of board of directors in Royal Varco Co. Moldova. He is fluent in English and Russian.

Mr Jamous defected from Assad’s regime at the beginning of the Syrian Revolution and joined the Opposition. He participated in Antalya’s organization of opposition conference and many others such as the National Salvation Conference and the Consultative Meeting the result of which was the establishment of the Syrian National Council.

Mr Jamous is a member of the General Secretariat of the Syrian National Council and head of its affiliated Education Office.

Mr Jamous is a co-founder of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces. He is head of the Coalition’s Higher Education Committee, and recently he has been elected Secretary General of the Coalition.
