Over the past few hours, the Assad regime and Russian occupation air forces have committed a series of massacres against civilians in eastern Ghouta using the white phosphorus and napalm-filled bombs. Assad regime helicopters also dropped barrel bombs and shelled residential neighborhoods.
The barbaric bombardment killed at least 44 people, including 15 children and two women, as it targeted a civilian shelter in the town of Arbeen.
The Coalition condemns these continued crimes as it slams the lukewarm and impotent international position.
The UN Security Council and the international community will continue to bear the responsibility for the carnage taking place in eastern Ghouta and for its failure to take any steps capable of stopping the ongoing massacre in eastern Ghouta and throughout Syria.
It is incumbent upon permanent members of the UN Security Council to find a solution to the ongoing Russian obstruction of the Council and take urgent measures to put an end to the ongoing genocide in eastern Ghouta before more massacres take place.
