Press Release
Syrian Coalition – Syria
Department of Media and Communications
June 3, 2019
The Syrian Coalition condemns the terrorist bombing that ripped through the town of Azzaz in northern rural Aleppo on Sunday and which left 21 civilians dead.
This premediated attack, which was carried out using a car bomb, bears the hallmarks of terrorist organizations. It has once again showed the bitter battle the Syrian people are waging against terrorism and its sponsors.
These attacks are the direct result of the terrorist project being sponsored by the Assad regime’s allies aimed at confronting the forces of the revolution and the Syrian opposition and at undermining security and stability in the liberated areas.
The international community is obliged to condemn this crime and those behind it. It should realize that this type of terrorism is one aspect of the international failure to impose a political solution and its inability to support the legitimate rights of the Syrian people.
It is imperative that the world intervene to save the lives of civilians in Syria and to prevent the terrorist machine from targeting them with its various tools. We call upon the national police and army to tighten security and remain alerted to prevent further attacks during the Eid Al Fitr. We also urge them to spare no effort to protect Syrian civilians.
