The murderous Assad regime and its Russian patron are committing horrific massacres amid utter international silence. The Russian and Assad regime air forces as well as the Iranian militias carried out a series of deadly attacks on Saturday (December 07) in various parts of Idlib province.

Three deadly attacks claimed the lives of at least 21 civilians, mostly women and children, and left around fifty others wounded. The attacks also caused widespread damage to infrastructure. Russian jets bombed a a popular market and a school in the town of Balioun, while Assad regime helicopters dropped barrel bombs on the village of Abdita. Regime air force also bombed a popular market and school in the town of Al-Bara.

In the past few hours alone, more than 23 towns and villages in Idlib were directly targeted by more than 30 airstrikes and barrel bomb attacks as well as heavy artillery shelling. The attacks are part of a long, systematic campaign aimed at exterminating and displacing civilians and destroying their villages and towns.

The Syrian National Coalition continues to communicate with the major actors in the international community to reassert their responsibilities with regards to what is happening on the ground. These atrocities are a direct result of the absence of any serious position on the part of the international community which continues to stand idly by thus allowing further deterioration of the situation.

No sane person can wait for criminals to stop their crime on their own. Criminals such as those belonging to Nazism, Fascism, and Asadism do not stop committing crimes voluntarily. The Syrian National Coalition holds the international community direct responsibility for all the massacres being committed by the regime and its sponsors as it acts as a silent partner in everything that is taking place in Syria.
