Safeguarding Civilians’ Freedom of Movement
July 11, 2013
The Syrian Coalition stresses that protecting civilians, providing them with basic needs, and ensuring their safety are top priorities of the revolution. The Syrian Coalition’s military and civic institutions want to ascertain that these priorities are met in all liberated areas and areas under Assad’s control.
The Syrian Coalition commends the discipline that FSA fighters maintain. We also urge all battalions to help reverse embargos imposed by groups not committed to protecting civilians, safeguarding freedom of movement, and facilitating the movement of staple foods to all areas.
Failure to protect civilians and guarding their interests must be condemned by military and civic institutions, as well as by all Revolutionary Forces.
We ask for mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our detainees.
Long live Syria and its people, free and with honor.
