The Assad's Massacre in Taftanaz, Idlib
September 06, 2013
The Syrian Coalition condemns the massacre Assad’s forces carried out against innocent civilians in the town of Taftanaz, Idlib. At least 10 people have been killed, and dozens were injured as regime aircrafts dropped explosive barrels on civilian areas in the town.
The international community must realize the dangerous consequences of employing systematic violence against innocent civilians. Assad forces continue to target residential areas by artillery, mortar fire, ballistic missiles, and explosive barrels. Countries of the free world must take all necessary measures to stop Assad’s killing machine.
The Assad regime has employed a policy of scorched-earth targeting civilians in liberated areas. Furthermore, the head of the criminal regime, Bashar al Assad, has previously vowed to deal decisively with communities that support the Revolution in Syria. It is, therefore, imperative that Assad must be stopped immediately and Syrian lives must be spared.
We ask for mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our detainees.
Long live Syria and its people, free and with honor.
