Five Civilians Killed in Russian Airstrikes Near Saraqib Thursday

Attacks by forces of the Russian occupation continue to claim civilian lives in northwestern Syria as deadly Russian airstrikes killed and injured dozens in Idlib province on Thursday.

Local activists reported that five civilians from one family, including three children and their mother, were killed and five others were injured in a Russian airstrike that hit the outskirts of the town of Saraqib in Idlib province.

The Syrian Civil Defense said that the victims were displaced from the Al-Hamra sub-district in Hama province.

Russian airstrikes also killed two children and a woman in the village of Arnaba, while eight others were injured in a similar attack on the outskirts of the town of Ariha.

The Syrian Civil Defense said that Russian jets directly hit an ambulance in a double tap attack near Ariha, leaving the vehicle completely burned.

The Syrian National Coalition earlier said that for the Russian occupiers, every announcement of a truce agreement “is no more than a new opportunity to commit more massacres and transfer their killing machines from one battlefront to another.”

“The free world must stop acting as a powerless witness to these crimes. The Syrian people do not expect more silence from the international community as this silence only causes them more agony. They rather expect an ethical attitude and decisive action to put an end to the congoing carnage, now in its ninth year.”
