Member of the Syrian National Coalition’s political committee, Salem al-Meslet, on Wednesday toured the towns of Ras al-Ayn in Hasaka province and Tal Abyad in Raqqa province where he met tribal leaders, ordinary citizens, and tradesmen.
Al-Meslet toured civilian homes and met tribal leaders and local notables. He ascertained the living conditions and the most urgent needs, especially those related to security, medical services, and education.
Al-Meslet visited the local councils and institutions affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government (SIG) and discussed with them the latest developments on the ground, suggestions and solutions to the problems facing people of the region as well as ways to improve the security and living conditions.
As the Secretary-General of the Syrian Tribal Council, Al-Meslet took over the offices of the Council in Ras Al-Ayn and Tal Abyad as he stressed that members of the Council will spare no effort to achieve the goal for which the Council was established, namely to represent the Syrian tribes and serve the cause of the Syrian people.
