Secretary-General of the Syrian National Coalition, Abd al-Basit Abd al-Latif, conducted a tour of inspection to the headquarters of the Military Police in rural Aleppo. He met Commander of the Military Police, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Kurdi, and reviewed the tasks and performance of the elements of the Syrian National Army.
Accompanied with the Coalition members, Abd al-Latif affirmed the importance of compliance with rules and articles set out in the code of conduct which was previously approved by the Syrian Interim Government’s Ministry of Defense.
The two sides discussed the importance of revitalizing the work of the military police in the liberated areas as well as training their personnel on modern methods and developing their skills.
They also stressed the importance of the military police taking its role in controlling violations and abuses that may be committed by some elements.
The two sides also discussed the issue of forensic science and the importance of qualifying and training of staff and enabling them to deal with the cases faced by the military police. (Source: Syrian National Coalition’s Media Department)
