Abdul Ilah Fahad co-founded the project of provincial councils in Syria in 2012. Although he left Syria afterwards, Fahad continued to follow up on the affairs of the provincial councils. He then helped establish the Syrian National Coalition.

Fahad is the owner of Fahad Business Group in Homs. He has been actively engaged in the revolution since its early days in his hometown of Homs.

Fahad was elected to the membership of the Syrian Coalition’s political committee at its first session and held this position from November 2012 to April 2013.

He was elected as Secretary-General of the Syrian Coalition on March 5, 2016.

Fahad had been active in relief and social activities in Homs for over ten years through engaging in charities and cultural associations.

He has a broad national vision that takes into consideration the realities on the ground and the duties placed on the political and military opposition. Owing to his administrative and economic expertise, Fahad has demonstrated great ability in handling political affairs, setting goals, and building strategies and detailed plans.

Fahad demonstrates firm commitment to the aspirations of Syria’s young men and women and gives priority to ending the bloodshed without compromising the sacrifices the Syrian people have made, their rights, or the goals of the revolution.
