Anas Abdah is the president of the Syrian Negotiation Commission. He is also a founding member of the Syrian National Council. He was born in Damascus in 1967 to parents who were both teachers. He graduated from the University of Yarmouk in 1988 with a BSc in Geology and went on to study for a Master of Science from England’s University of Newcastle. He has worked in the IT sector since 1991 and from 1997 has held senior management positions with multi-national companies. From 2006 he has dedicated himself to political activism.
