The Syrian Coalition announces support for the Riyadh Declaration and the decisions taken during the Arab-Islamic-US summit held in the Saudi capital, particularly with regards to the establishment of a strategic alliance to achieve “peace and security” in the region and to combat terrorism in Syria. The Coalition stresses the need to expedite the implementation of the Declaration in accordance with the follow-up mechanisms proposed during the summit.
The Coalition congratulates the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud for the success of summit as it stresses the importance of the points set out in the Riyadh Declaration particularly with regards to the rejection of the Iranian regime’s practices aimed at destabilizing the region and the world and Iran’s continued support for terrorism and extremism.
The Coalition highly appreciates the principled positions adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On behalf of the Syrian people, the Coalition extends its warmest thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the Kingdom, wishing it success in its efforts to achieve more progress and prosperity for its people and to support that which right everywhere.
