On Thursday, dozens of individuals in Al-Hussan village, located in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, took part in an anti-regime demonstration. Their action served as a display of solidarity and support for fellow demonstrators in the Daraa and Suwayda provinces.
The protesters underlined the united stance of the Syrian people since the inception of their journey for transformation, aimed at ousting the Assad regime responsible for grievous atrocities against the Syrian people. Banners were raised by the demonstrators, commemorating the Ghouta Massacre committed by the Assad regime a decade ago. They further demanded accountability for the culprits, while holding a banner bearing the inscription: “The children were gassed with their eyes open, and their eyelids will not close until we take revenge on you Assad.”
Across the provinces of Daraa and Suwayda, massive demonstrations and an extensive strike have unfolded for a continuous five-day period. The protesters there have consistently underscored their commitment to the Syrian Revolution until the ultimate removal of the Assad regime.
