Idlib health directorate announced that its headquarters in Idlib city has been shut down as a result of constant bombardment by the Assad regime and Russian forces. The directorate said that its headquarters had been relentlessly bombed for the past 15 days, which caused massive damage to the building and equipment.
The Assad regime and Russian airstrikes on the liberated areas have put many health facilities out of service. Medical workers said that no fewer than 36 health facilities have been targeted by the Assad regime and Russian aircrafts over the past 40 days.
The Syrian Coalition earlier said that the systematic and deliberate bombing of health facilities in liberated areas is aimed at forcing the civilian population out of their homes.
Multiple air strikes hit the city of Idlib on Thursday, causing dozens of casualties among civilians. A mother and her child were killed when an airstrike hit their car near the town of Marshimsha in rural Idlib.
The Assad regime and Russian jets also raided the towns of Maaret Alnouman, Kafranbil, Ariha, Marshourin, Babila, Almastoumah and Haas in rural Idlib on Thursday.
The Syrian Coalition called on the UN Security Council to urgently enforce its Syria resolutions, most importantly those calling for the protection of civilians and lifting the sieges. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Shaam News Network)
