40 Civilians Killed in Barrel Bomb Attacks on Aleppo and Dara’a
The Assad regime has committed an appalling massacre in the town of Al Harra in rural Dara’a when its air force dropped a barrel bomb on a house killing the entire family of seven members.
At least 30 more were killed when Assad’s helicopters dropped a barrel bomb on a crowded market in the town of Al-Bab northeast of Aleppo.
The Syrian National Coalition calls upon the UN Security Council to support the establishment of a safe zone in northern and southern Syria to mitigate the damage caused by the regime’s indiscriminate aerial attacks, including with barrel bombs.
The Assad regime responded to the rebels’ advance on Dara’a and their heroic resistance in Zabadani by intensifying aerial bombing and barrel bomb attacks on residential areas in Dara’a and the surrounding villages and towns. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
