Intensified airstrikes by the Russian and the Assad regime prompted a cancellation of Friday prayers in the town of Talbeesah, activists reported earlier today. Northern rural Homs has seen heavy aircraft activity lately, alongside artillery bombardment by pro-regime forces on rebel-held areas.
Activists also said that a large convoy of regime forces and Iranian-backed militias arrived at the T-4 airbase in eastern Homs earlier today. The convoy contained many heavy equipment and tanks.
Meanwhile, 15 civilians were killed and dozens wounded in rural Idlib as a result of a Russian airstrike on the town of Kafar Takharim on Thursday afternoon. Russian warplanes also bombed the towns of Nahliya, Al-Marja and Al-Salihin, with reports of civilian casualties. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
