The Assad regime forces renewed its violations of the international agreements and deals which were signed under sponsorship and guarantees by its Russian ally. The provinces of Aleppo, Hama, Lattakia and Dara’a on Wednesday witnessed renewed shelling by heavy artillery and rockets by regime forces, resulting in the death of a child and several injuries among civilians.
Activists in rural Aleppo said that a child was killed and three others from the same family were injured as a result of artillery and rockets shelling by the Assad regime forces on the town of Kafar Hmara in northern rural Aleppo on Wednesday.
Civil defense volunteers pulled the body of Jana Teet, a 6 year-old girl, from under the rubble of her house. The districts of Al-Rashidin and the Scientific Research area in western rural Aleppo came under similar shelling by the Assad regime forces.
In Hama province, the Assad regime forces carried out artillery shelling on the towns of Latamina, Morek, Kafarzeita, Maarkubba, and Lahaya in northern rural Hama as well as the villages of Sarmaniya and Dwair al-Akrad in western rural Hama without reports of casualties.
The Assad regime forces also shelled several areas of rural Lattakia, including the villages of Tuffahiya and al-Kabbana in Al-Akrad Mountain in northern rural Lattakia province without reports of casualties.
The Syrian Coalition earlier warned against allowing the Assad regime to wriggle out of its international commitments. It said that the Assad regime was seeking to hamper the political process and prevent reaching a solution in accordance with the Geneva Communique of 2012 and UN Security Council resolution 2254 calling for a genuine political transition.
