Dozens of demonstrators took to the streets in various parts of Syria on Friday to denounce the Assad regime’s and allies’ violations of the ceasefire agreement and their continued targeting of civilians, particularly in Wadi Barada valley in Rural Damascus.
Demonstrators called upon the FSA and rebel groups to close ranks and unite against the Assad regime and its allies.
In the Jobar district of Damascus, demonstrators denounced the regime’s continued targeting of civilians. They called on the FSA and rebel groups to unite to achieve all the goals of the revolution. They also called for rejection of the truce unless the Assad regime stops bombing of Wadi Barada valley.
In eastern Ghouta, demonstrators called for pressure on the Assad regime and its allies to stop violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Dozens of demonstrations were also held in many towns and villages of Idlib province, including Kafranbil, Maart Alnouman, Saraqibm Kafar Diriyan, Sarmada, Salqin, and Qilli. Demonstrators waved the flag of the revolution and called for the FSA and rebel groups to unite. They also condemned the assault on Wadi Barada valley by the regime and its allies.
Demonstrations were also held in the towns of Talbeesa in rural Homs after Friday prayers and in the town of Jassim in rural Dara’a, where protesters chanted for freedom and demanded the downfall of the regime. (Source: Syrian Coalition’s Media Office)
