Int’l Anti-ISIS Coalition Aircraft Commit Four Massacres in Deir Ezzor in less than 24 Hours
Warplanes of the US-led international anti-ISIS coalition committed four massacres in eastern rural Deir Ezzor claiming the lives of dozens of civilians in less than 24 hours.
According the Al-Shark local news network, aircraft of the international coalition bombed civilians who were gathering in town of Hajeen east of Deir Ezzor late on Friday, killing six civilians and injuring many others.
Earlier on Friday, an airstrike targeted people as they were going out of Othman bin Affan mosque following the Friday prayers in the town of Al-Soussa, killing 30 civilians, including children and militants of the ISIS extremist group.
A few hours before the attack on Othman bin Affan mosque, aircraft of the international anti-ISIS coalition had committed two massacres in the town of Al-Soussa. An airstrike targeted a house holding a large number of displaced families, while another airstrike directly hit Ammar bin Yasser mosque during the afternoon prayers on Thursday.
Civilians in the towns of Al-Shaa’fa, Hajeen and Al-Soussa are suffering catastrophic humanitarian conditions due to shortages of basic necessities. Prices of the basic foodstuffs have recently skyrocketed amid a near-total lack of healthcare. The region has lately seen intensifying hit-and-run battles between militia of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and ISIS as well as intensifying airstrikes by the international anti-ISIS coalition.
