Intensified airstrikes by the Russian Air Force on Jabal Al-Zawiya area in Idlib province on Wednesday injured three civilians and put a children’s hospital out of service.
Assad regime forces on Tuesday shelled the town of Anadan north of Aleppo, directly hitting two centers of the Syrian Civil Defense and putting them out of service.
The shelling on Anadan also put the command and control center of the civil defense sector in the region out of service as the heavy machinery inside was directly hit with artillery and mortar shells.
The Syrian Civil Defense Corps said that in the past 48 hours, no fewer than 70 artillery and mortar shells were fired on Anadan by regime forces which are stationed in the Handrat camp and al-Zahra Association districts of Aleppo.
Activists pointed out that the attack on Al-Ikhlas hospital has brought to 40 the number of hospitals and health centers that have been attacked in rural Idlib, Hama, and Aleppo since April 28.
The Assad regime and Russia forces continue to relentlessly bomb vital civilian centers in the liberated areas despite the announcement of a ceasefire on August 30, 2019. The bombing campaign on southern rural Idlib and northern rural Hama has so far led to the death and injury of hundreds of civilians and the displacement of hundreds of thousands more from their homes.
