Up to 30 civilians were killed and dozens wounded in Russian airstrikes across Syria yesterday.
Russian warplanes hit the town of Al-Lataminah in rural Hama, killing 12 civilians in conjunction with artillery bombardment by regime forces on rebel-held town.
The Russian air force committed another massacre in rural Aleppo where nine civilians were killed and dozens wounded in the town of Haritan, while one civilian was killed and six more wounded, including two civil defense workers, in a Russian airstrike on the town of Hayan in rural Aleppo yesterday.
Moreover, 12 civilians, including seven children were killed and 15 wounded in similar attack on the village of Tal Hadiya in southern rural Aleppo, while two civilians were killed and three wounded in the nearby village of Al-Bawabiya.
In a statement released yesterday, the Syrian Coalition stresses that “Russia’s clear war strategy on Syria has been to primarily target, kill, and displace civilians since day one. As of October 26, the Russian occupation airstrikes have killed 1,511 civilians, including women and children. They’ve also destroyed 12 hospitals and medical centers, as well as schools, places of worship, service institutions and archaeological sites.”
“This data, supported by field reports and documented by the Syrian Network for Human Rights, local activists, and the Syrian Committee for Human Rights, confirm that Russian bombardment amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity. The international community and the UN Security Council must strongly condemns these attacks. Urgent action must also be taken to stop further Russian aggression and to hold the perpetrators accountable.”
The Syrian Coalition also states that “the military strategy of Russian invaders is further complicating the military scene in Syria and opens the door wide for expanding and spreading terrorism, thus undermining any future political solution.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
