The bombing campaign by the Assad regime and Russian forces in Aleppo and Idlib provinces continues unabated as regime helicopters dropped several barrel bombs on the town of Maaret al-Nouman and the outskirts of the village of Hantoutin in rural Idlib.
Local activists reported that the Assad regime and Russian air forces carried out several airstrikes on residential areas in Idlib province. An airstrike directly hit a medical center in the town of Al-Bara in the Jabal al-Zawiya region south of Idlib.
Helicopters of the Assad regime dropped barrel bombs on Shwaihina hills in western rural Aleppo, while shelling with heavy artillery pummeled the town of Al-Eis in southern rural Aleppo.
The Syrian Civil Defense said that no fewer than 55 airstrikes and 47 barrel bombs hit around 22 towns and villages in northwestern Syria on Friday. The region was also hit with 55 artillery shells and 20 rockets.
The Emergency Response Coordinators Team on Friday said that the bombardment and shelling killed 84 civilians, including 32 children, in northwestern Syria in the past ten days.
The most violent airstrikes targeted the towns and villages of Khan al-Asal, Khan Tuman, Maaret al-Artiq, Kafar Hamra, Hureitan, Kafarnaha, Khalsa, al-Qarasi, Umm Ataba, al-Mansoura, and al-Fouj 64 area as well as the neighborhoods of Al-Rashideen and New Aleppo in Aleppo city.
