In its ongoing brutal bombing campaign on Syria, Russia continues to target vital civilian infrastructure in the rebel-held areas, especially health facilities.
Activists said Russian fighter jets bombed a pediatric and maternity hospital in the town of Kafar Hamra in northern rural Aleppo, putting it out of service. A paramedic and a nurse were killed in the attack.
The Syrian Committee for Human Rights confirmed that the paramedic Nizar Ismail was killed in the attack on the hospital.
Medical workers in the liberated areas on Thursday said that the Russian and regime air forces targeted around 36 medical facilities within the last 40 days in a blatant violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2286 adopted on May 3, 2016. The resolution strongly condemned attacks on health facilities and medical personnel. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
