The technical committee of the Syrian-Turkish Joint Committee held an important meeting at the headquarters of the Directorate General of Migration Management in the Turkish capital Ankara to discuss the most important issues related to the settlement of the status of Syrian nationals in Turkey and ways to ensure their acclimatization in Turkey.
The meeting brought together Director General of the Migration Management Abdullah Ayaz and his working team as well as member of the Syrian National Coalition’s political committee and the Coalition’s representative in Turkey, Nazir al-Hakim and a working team.
The two sides discussed the latest facilitations provided to the Syrian nationals in Turkey and their results. They stressed the importance of the latest results of the work of the Joint Committee and the need to continue to work to settle the legal status of Syrian nationals. They also stressed the need to work on the issue of acclimatization of Syrian nationals in Turkey.
Al-Hakim said that the meeting took place in a positive and fruitful atmosphere as he thanked the Turkish side which worked responsibly and provided great facilities to the Syrian nationals in Turkey.
It was agreed to form a joint working group to develop clear plans and projects for the next year 2020 with regard to the issue of acclimatization of Syrian nationals in Turkey.
The two sides reviewed the solutions to settle the status of Syrian nationals in Istanbul. The Syrian side stressed that the latest decisions resolve about 80 percent of the issues but still need to be scheduled in order to be implemented within the specified period.
The Syrian side handed over files containing the special cases that were submitted to the Joint Committee in order to be resolved and to find the appropriate solutions.

President of the Syrian National Coalition, Anas al-Abda, sent a letter to Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud to congratulate him on his appointment as the Kingdom’s top diplomat.
President Al-Abda wished Prince Faisal success in his new post as he wished the brotherly Saudi people further progress and prosperity.
President Al-Abda praised Saudi Arabia’s important, pivotal role in supporting the Syrian people in their struggle for freedom, dignity and justice.
Moreover, President Al-Abda reaffirmed the strong relations between the two sisterly countries as he said that the Coalition is keen on further strengthening the bilateral relations as key to serving the vital interests of the two brotherly peoples and to helping reach a political solution in Syria that meets the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people.
