The Ministry of Communications, Transport and Industry in the Syrian interim government held the first consultative meeting to discuss the present and future of the pharmaceutical industry in Syria. Minister Mohammed Yasin Najjar, pointed to “the importance of this industry and raised the need to engage all businessmen, industrialists, technicians, specialists and workers in it. It was decided to form a consultative committee tasked with developing projects in the pharmaceutical industry. The Committee is composed of seven members and its work will be coordinated by the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Industry in the Ministry, and will be tasked with developing a vision and raising prospects for the industry in the present and future times.
