Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) has been coordinating with the donor organizations to secure relief aid for the needy households in Syria. The relief aid delivered by ACU during May covered many villages and towns of the provinces of Dara’a and Quneitra. ACU also signed an agreement with USAID organization to provide the affected people with flour, and it delivered 2031 tons of flour to the provinces of Dara’a and Quneitra. A mobile bakery was set up in the town of Jassim, while there was a big increase in the medical needs in the province. ACU also finished setting up Al Shajara refugee camp and equipped it with the necessary facilities, including a shared kitchen, sanitation facilities and toilets. The camp accommodates 800 tents and it meets the SFIR standards, which are minimum standards for the establishment of the refugee camps. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
