Activists in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights on Friday held a sit-in protest in the town of Majdal Shams in solidarity with the Syrian revolution and the recent anti-regime protests in Suwayda province.
The sit-in, which was held under the title ‘you are the voice; we are its echo,’ reaffirmed that the people of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights stand with their fellow Syrians across all Syrian territory, especially the ongoing anti-regime protests in Suwayda province.
In a similar move, activists in the province of Deir Ezzor on Thursday called for mass protests to demand the overthrow of the regime and the withdrawal of Iranian militias from the province.
The online activists pointed out that the demonstrations would be held under the title ‘there is no alternative to change to achieve the demands of our people,’ reiterating the demands for the overthrow of the regime and the withdrawal of Iranian militias from the province.
Renewed anti-regime protests have swept across many Syrian cities and towns recently, especially in Suwayda with the demonstrators calling for the fall of the Assad regime in response to the rapidly deteriorating living conditions in Syria and to demand the release of detainees in the Assad regime’s prisons.
