Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) has launched the “Akbaduna” campaign to deliver infant formula to around 55,000 Syrian babies in the provinces of Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, and Latakia. The first phase of the plan targets babies aged between one day to six months, while the second targets babies aged between seven months and one year. ACU seeks to secure more quantities of infant formula to Syrian children in light of the deteriorating economic situation in most rebel-held areas, especially in besieged ones.
Since early 2014, ACU has delivered over 673,000 packs of milk since to babies in Syria, 10.384 out of which were delivered to the internally displaced people in northern Syria in collaboration with its partners in Syria and with the support of Saudi Arabia. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
