Activists in rural Idlib said that at least 10 airstrikes by the Assad regime air force hit the town of Khan Shaykhun on Monday, killing seven civilians and injuring more than 50 others.
Six civilians were killed in Russian airstrikes on the town of Kafar Takharim on Monday, while two more civilians were killed in rocket shelling by regime forces -stationed in the town of Jourin in Alghab Plain- on the town of Kafar Awid.
In rural Damascus, five civilians were killed and many more wounded in rocket attacks by regime forces on the town of Douma earlier on Monday. Activists said that the rockets, which were loaded with cluster bombs, hit residential buildings in the town, setting many houses on fire.
There were also clashes between rebel fighters and regime forces on the outskirts of the town of Deir Khabiya in western Rural Damascus alongside artillery and rocket shelling by regime forces on the area.
