The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) strongly condemns the terrorist attack by the Houthi militia on the territory of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which targeted vital installations, oil depots and civilian targets in Jeddah and Jazan.
The SOC reaffirms it is standing and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf states. It fully supports all the measures these states are taking to protect their security and stability as well as to protect the region from Iranian aggression which it carries out through its various militias that target the social fabric and security as much as they target vital infrastructure.
The terrorist Houthi militia’s attack on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a terrorist act that requires a unified Arab and international position to punish and deter further attacks. Indeed, the delay or absence of the appropriate response will encourage the Iranian militias to persist with and expand their attacks against all the countries of the region, just as Iran and its militias have been doing in Syria for over ten years.
