Several demonstrations were held in the province of Idlib and Aleppo on Friday where demonstrators demanded the removal of the Assad regime and the release of detainees in Assad’s prisons.
Demonstrators in the town Killie in northern rural Idlib chanted slogans calling for the toppling of Assad and for holding him accountable as well as for the release of detainees. They also called for the revival of the spirit of the revolution in the Syrian streets.
Protestors raised signs that read “Freedom won’t be complete as long as there are detainees”, “Russia is burning Idlib”, “Shackles must be broken”, and “You can kill our children but you will not kill our revolution.”
Hundreds of people gathered in the town of town of Ma’aret al-Nu’man in rural Idlib to condemn the massacres being carried out by warplanes of the Assad regime, Russia, and the international anti-ISIS coalition in the provinces of Raqqa and Deir Ezzor.
In western rural Aleppo, around 600 people demonstrated in the town of Urum al-Kubra calling for the overthrow of the Assad regime, the immediate release of detainees and the continuation.
