The Assad regime forces have further intensified the shelling of residential areas in Idlib province, killing three civilians and injuring many others in different parts of the province.
Local activists said that a child was killed and eight others were injured in shelling by the Assad regime forces on the town of Nairab east of Idlib, adding that regime forces used cluster munitions in the bombardment.
Activists added that regime forces also shelled a popular market in the town of Jisr al-Shoghur west of Idlib city with rockets, killing a civilian and injuring nine others, some in a critical condition.
A woman was killed and two civilians were wounded in rocket shelling by regime forces stationed in the town of Abu Dali north of Hama on the town of Khan al-Sabeel in southeastern rural Idlib.
Two other civilians were also wounded in rocket shelling by regime forces stationed in Abu Adduhor airbase on the town of Sarqib east of Idlib. The Syrian Civil Defense rushed the injured to nearby field hospitals.
The Assad regime forces and their allies have intensified the bombing campaign on the province of Idlib in recent weeks, killing and injuring hundreds of civilians. The Syrian Coalition earlier stressed the need to take a tougher international stance towards these daily violations against civilians in rural Idlib and Hama. It said that the Assad regime is deliberately targeting civilians and committing massacres against them.
The Coalition underscored the need to hold accountable those responsible for breaches of the demilitarized zone agreement. It called for the use of the agreed upon monitoring and follow-up mechanisms and to prevent the use of the agreement as a means of concealment and impunity.
