Local sources said that militia of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) killed a young man in rural of Deir Ezzor on Tuesday. The sources added that the victim was shot point-blank in the head as the PYD militia handed over his body to his family one day after his arrest.
Al-Khabour local news network published photos of the body of Khalil Abdulaziz from the village of Abu Hardub in eastern rural Deir Ezzor showing a wound of a gunshot in his head. The photos indicated that the victim was executed.
The PYD militia detained the victim while he was leaving a mosque in his village. He was later taken to the neighboring village of Dheiban where he was executed.
Family and relatives of the victim gathered in the center of the village to condemn the PYD violations against civilians as they demanded that those responsible be held accountable. The PYD militants fled the village for fear of revenge by the angry villagers.
The Syrian Coalition earlier condemned the PYD crimes. During its recent meetings, the Coalition stressed the importance of stabilizing the areas east of the Euphrates River and the elimination of terrorist organizations in all their forms. It also stressed the need to fill the vacuum and put an end to the PYD militia’s terrorization of civilians in the region.
